Daniela Gamiño comes from Cuerámaro, Guanajuato, Mexico. She came to Slovakia through her university to complete her professional internship and finish her degree in Gastronomy. Today, she is part of the Mezcallli team in Bratislava, where, as a Mexican chef, she prepares authentic Mexican dishes and brings the flavours of her homeland to every guest.
Moving to Slovakia was a major life change for Daniela. It gave her the opportunity to gain new experiences, discover a different culture, and continue growing in what she loves most—gastronomy.
The things she misses the most are her family, the traditions of her hometown, and the food she grew up with. At the same time, living far from home has made her appreciate her roots even more.
For Daniela, cooking is more than just a profession. Through every dish she prepares, she shares the flavours, traditions, and hospitality she grew up with in Mexico. Every plate is prepared with pride in her country and a passion for authentic Mexican cuisine, which she is proud to share with Mezcallli’s guests in Bratislava.
